Yet another good but kinda dragged volume。 Again， action is good， there are a couple funny moments， and the characters are fun。There are， here， some hooks for future plots， I guess， but I feel the overall plot progressed almost nothing at this volume。

Este tomo está muy completo。 Por un lado， nos muestra la asombrosa lucha de Niño Emperador contra un enemigo polivalente como pocos se han visto， pero a su vez se ahonda en las necesidades psicológicas del pequeño integrante de la clase S， mientras nos dejan caer， sin saber realmente su veracidad， cierta conspiración muy turbia e insidiosa。Luego el foco se centra en Zombie Man， un personaje con tal nivel de resistencia y recuperación que permite su soberanía sobre cualquier contrincante。Finalmen Este tomo está muy completo。 Por un lado， nos muestra la asombrosa lucha de Niño Emperador contra un enemigo polivalente como pocos se han visto， pero a su vez se ahonda en las necesidades psicológicas del pequeño integrante de la clase S， mientras nos dejan caer， sin saber realmente su veracidad， cierta conspiración muy turbia e insidiosa。Luego el foco se centra en Zombie Man， un personaje con tal nivel de resistencia y recuperación que permite su soberanía sobre cualquier contrincante。Finalmente， se muestra buena parte de la oscura mentalidad que tiene Dulce Máscara y se muestra una sorpresiva revelación sobre su naturaleza。 。。。more

I'll review up to chapter 181， which seems to be the most current one。 I don't know if it will fall in this volume， but it doesn't matter。 That's part of my problem with this series nowadays， that it doesn't fucking matter。The author of this series started with an anti-narrative concept that you just have to admire him for: making a world of superheroes in which the protagonist is so strong that he can kill （view spoiler）[almost （hide spoiler）] anybody with a single punch。 What tension do you wr I'll review up to chapter 181， which seems to be the most current one。 I don't know if it will fall in this volume， but it doesn't matter。 That's part of my problem with this series nowadays， that it doesn't fucking matter。The author of this series started with an anti-narrative concept that you just have to admire him for: making a world of superheroes in which the protagonist is so strong that he can kill （view spoiler）[almost （hide spoiler）] anybody with a single punch。 What tension do you wring out of such a story？ How can you have conflict？ He focused on the psychological aspects of the absurd protagonist: he hasn't found the flow for a long， long time。 He doesn't see the point in trying hard for anything， and is generally dysthymic in an uncaring way。 There’s also plenty to develop regarding everybody else’s reaction to him and how they deal with a man in their community that nobody could stop， and that could kill anybody he wished。 The actual arc of this series is told in what encompasses the first season of the anime。 As far as I'm concerned， Saitama's story ended after the fight against his antithesis Boros （the alien who had spent decades travelling through space trying to find someone that was worth fighting， because his life seemed meaningless otherwise）， when the protagonist realized that yes， he might be unstoppable and that gets annoying， but he can do good for people and find friends while earning some respect and money along the way。Deep into the rest of the series so far， we've been focusing on a dozens of chapters long conflict between a team of monsters and a team of heroes。 We've met dozens of characters， many of them absurd， charming and sometimes interesting， but for any of it to matter， the author needs to keep the protagonist occupied so he can’t solve the problem immediately; in the case of these last twenty chapters or so， Saitama is literally lost and separated from the main fight。 I come back to this series periodically to read the half a dozen chapters that have come out in the meantime。 Only for generally bland entertainment， though; the drawings and the fights are tremendous， but the plot cannot handle its concept anymore。 It's sad to see Saitama， one of the most recognizable characters of manga/anime in the last decade， turned into a minor character in his own story。In my numerous reviews for the series “I Am a Hero”， which sadly I finished a few days ago， I mentioned that the Japanese have a penchant for telling the main story of a series in the first eight to ten volumes or so， and then move on to systemizing both the inevitable peculiarity of one of the main characters， as well as the conceptual problem or situation。 In this case the peculiarity is the protagonist’s completely unexplained， and unexplainable， unstoppability。 The author chose to give it an explanation， which screws everything up。 Apparently when anyone pushes their mental and physical abilities to an almost superhuman level， they push their “limiter” further。 Saitama was supposedly so hardcore that he completely broke through。 The problem is that we saw what the protagonist went through， and it wasn’t remotely as much as what many later characters introduced experienced， so it breaks Saitama’s uniqueness as well as the internal logic of the series。 Not much else to be said: great fights， entertaining character moments， the women are generally gorgeous （Fubuki in particular; I need me some VR version of that （view spoiler）[ （hide spoiler）]）， Saitama is funny and ridiculous as usual。 But if you aren’t like me， who can mindlessly follow a manga series 181 chapters in， just watch the first season of the anime， produced by one of the best animation studios in the world （link to an example from the show）， and avoid the second and likely other following seasons， that for scheduling reasons were given to another studio that couldn’t compete with the first neither in resources nor in talent。["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]> 。。。more
